In 2019, Haimal Khetan noticed something that frustrated him enough to build a company around it. Great technology existed — but access to it was gated behind budgets most businesses couldn't justify. He started Codeyard on a single conviction: that world-class digital work should be available to any business willing to invest in growth, not just the ones already winning. The name says it plainly — a yard is where things are built and grown, and Codeyard was going to be the ground for everything code.
The early years tested that conviction. Clients were skeptical that quality and affordability could coexist, especially from a young team. The breakthrough came when Shopify approved Codeyard as an official partner — a signal that required real scrutiny of the work, not just the pitch. Around the same time, Binesh joined, and what had been one person's idea became a company with momentum. The team grew across Nepal and India, then spread further. The work compounded. Two thousand projects. Twenty-plus countries. Ninety percent of clients still here.
When ChatGPT launched, Haimal saw it immediately — not as a novelty, but as the next fundamental shift in how customers find businesses. While most agencies waited to see how it played out, Codeyard started building. They developed Nepal's first dedicated Generative Engine Optimization practice, putting clients inside AI answers before most businesses knew that was possible. That's still the direction of travel: stay far enough ahead of what's changing that clients never have to worry about being left behind.
